Why Is This Mortgage Acceleration Program Being Denounced

I recently read a forum when someone had asked the validity to a certain mortgage acceleration program. The first response the person received was someone adamantly warning, "Stay far away from them. It smells like a rat to me."

The problem I had with this statement is that it came with no logical explanation. He said it with confidence, but I found it was really a statement from ignorance. The person had not known anything about the program he was trashing. It just seemed like a farce to him and so he denounced it.

Don't get me wrong, I believe everyone has the right to say "no" to whatever they want, especially something that would not be beneficial to them. But I think that we should at least be given the information to say no with the correct understanding. I do not think anyone should-and I certainly do not want to purchase something, myself, just for the sake of spending the money. But I also do not want to miss a great opportunity just because it may cost something.

The reason for my rejection should be based in an understanding of what is wrong, rather than because I just guessed that it could be an illegitimate claim.

The funny thing is, I am quite familiar with the mortgage acceleration program he equated with a plague to be avoided, and I also know that many people are using it and benefiting greatly from it. In fact, the program even comes with a written guarantee to do exactly what it claims. And you can get a free analysis telling you what that would be.

My recommendation is just because we may not have heard about something before, don't let that be the criterion for rejecting it. Some things may sound too good to be true, and something are. But there is a difference.
